Terpel is a leading Colombian company in the distribution and sale of liquid fuels, natural gas for vehicles and the manufacture of different types of lubricants. It is the second company in Colombia by operating income.

With more than 50 years of history, it is a company traded on the Colombian Stock Exchange.

It is present in 5 countries, has 2,400 service stations in Latin America and is the leading distributor of electricity on the highways of this country.

A multi-country integration project in Latin America

Terpel has standardized and strict corporate processes to which Aplyca adapted with total fluency, responding to their needs, modernizing its corporate web portal and creating a renewed digital experience for its users.

The challenge

The portal had to be aligned with:

  • Their digital strategy and the expectations of partners

  • The needs of its different lines of business

  • The company's technological platforms

In addition, it needed a comprehensive content management system, capable of supporting high traffic. The portal had to be implemented in different languages under a single stable, secure, scalable system capable of implementing different integrations.

Among the multiple integrations required, the integration with the Colombian Stock Exchange, the integration with georeferenced maps of stations and service points, and the integration with the Salesforce system stand out.

The solution

Full integrations for a better user experience

Aplyca planned a complete solution that included:

  • Frontend with Atomic Design and implementation in Ibexa's DxP.

  • Content architecture: content types, hierarchy and specifications for main pages and special content.

  • Complete implementation in the Ibexa DxP, including the tracking code for Google Analytics and the implementation of features for SEO.

  • Migration of all existing content to the new platform.
