Challenge
All businesses in Bogota must register and renew their license annually at
Bogota’s Chamber of Commerce. This means the Chamber’s website is the
primary information resource for the city’s businesses.
The CCB website has high traffic, which can reach up to 13 million seen pages per year and, during the license renovation period, traffic can spike to 150,000 visits per day.
The Chamber needed an integral content management system capable of supporting high traffic. It also needed a network of sites integrated with external systems and in different languages under a single stable, secureand scalable system

Solution
Aplyca implemented a complete solution for a new stage in the Chamber’s portals network:
Architecture and Web Design
Aplyca partnered with the Chamber by developing
an effective content strategy to enhance access to the content and to improve
the user experience.
Enterprise Content Manager
eZ Publish 5 CMS, based on the Symfony2 framework, enabled the Chamber
to condense its content management needs in a single tool.
Support and Maintenance
Aplyca continues to maintain and improve the portal, enhancing its design and
architecture. We are currently creating the Clusters and Center for Arbitrage and
Conciliation (CAC) sites using the same eZ Publish platform.
Web Acceleration
We increased the website’s speed tenfold, using our services and web
acceleration experience.
Cloud Services
Cloud architecture and migration of the website to the Amazon Web Services
cloud using Amazon Web Services reduced costs, and improved scalability and
security.
Training
Customized sessions based on the Chamber’s applications and cloud use.
